This Week's Tips: The Power of the Pause Before the Rush
If you peeked into my car some mornings, you might see a version of me I’m not exactly proud of.
The clock ticking.
The mental checklist running.
The “come on, we’re going to be late!” energy creeping in faster than I’d like to admit.
I was raised in a house where being on time meant you were already late… and that isn’t a bad thing!
It becomes a problem when you begin to exist in a state of urgency.
All. The. Time.
But here’s what I’ve been noticing lately:
It’s not the schedule that’s the problem.
It’s the lack of something else…
And when we skip it? Everything starts to feel harder—for us and for our kids.
