Friday Fun: Overflowing Bravery
This week’s experiment is one of my favorites because it’s messy, dramatic, and guaranteed to make your kids’ eyes go wide.
Now, the obvious takeaway from this experiment might be about explosions—anger, meltdowns, or big feelings bubbling over. But I want to push us past that first layer.
Instead, let’s focus on how success can overflow.
Every time our kids push through something hard—whether it’s speaking up, trying a new food, or just getting out of bed to try again after a tough day—they’re practicing bravery. And bravery, once sparked, has a way of multiplying.
Just like this explosion, one success can spill over into the next, and the next, and the next. It takes a lot of energy to keep showing up when your brain hasn’t always felt dependable. But every small win deserves to be noticed and celebrated—because those are the moments that overflow into lifelong resilience.
So today, let’s mix science, bravery, and a little bit of fun.
